1. Purpose of the Policy
The objective of this policy is to:

- —Ensure fair and uninterrupted usage for all residents
2. Water Conservation Guidelines
Residents are requested to actively support water-saving practices by following the guidelines below:
Residents Must:
- —Turn off taps properly after use.
- —Avoid unnecessary water wastage during bathing, cleaning, or washing.
- —Use water responsibly in washrooms, pantry, and common areas.
- —Immediately report leaking taps, overflowing tanks, pipe leakage, or water-related issues to management.
- —Use washing machines and cleaning utilities efficiently.
Residents Must Not:
- —Leave taps running unattended.
- —Waste drinking water intentionally.
- —Use excessive water for non-essential activities.
- —Tamper with plumbing systems or water supply lines.
Water is a valuable shared resource, and all residents are expected to contribute towards its conservation.
3. Electricity Conservation Guidelines
Residents are expected to use electricity responsibly to reduce energy wastage and support sustainable operations.
Residents Must:
- —Switch off lights, fans, ACs, geysers, and appliances when leaving the room.
- —Use electrical appliances responsibly and only for approved purposes.
- —Keep AC temperatures at reasonable levels for energy efficiency.
- —Disconnect chargers and unused devices when not required.
- —Cooperate during power-saving initiatives or backup operations.
Residents Must Not:
- —Leave electrical appliances running unnecessarily.
- —Overload power sockets or extension boards.
- —Tamper with electrical wiring, switches, meters, or panels.
- —Use unauthorized high-power electrical appliances without approval.
4. DG Backup & Energy Management
During power outages or generator (DG) backup operation:
- —Management may temporarily regulate or restrict usage of high-power appliances such as: Air conditioners, Geysers, Heaters, Washing machines, Other heavy electrical equipment
These measures are necessary to ensure uninterrupted essential services and operational safety.
Residents are requested to cooperate during such situations.
5. Sustainable Community Living
Ashray Living encourages residents to adopt environmentally responsible habits such as:

6. Common Area Utility Usage
Electricity and water provided in common areas are intended strictly for shared residential use.
Residents are requested to:

- —Avoid misuse of shared utilities.
- —Report malfunctioning lights, taps, or electrical equipment promptly.
7. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:

- —Unauthorized modification of electrical fittings
- —Misuse of water supply systems
- —Wasting water or electricity intentionally
- —Interfering with common area power supply
- —Illegal electrical connections or unsafe appliance usage
Any violation affecting safety, sustainability, or operational efficiency may result in penalties or disciplinary action.
8. Damage & Liability
Any damage caused due to:

- —Careless usage
- —Unauthorized appliance usage
- —Tampering with systems
- —Intentional misuse
shall be chargeable to the concerned resident(s).
9. Management Rights
Ashray Living reserves the right to:
- —Monitor utility usage patterns
- —Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
- —Introduce conservation measures and operational restrictions
- —Revise utility policies and sustainability guidelines when required
- —Impose penalties for misuse or wastage of resources
Management decisions regarding safety, sustainability, and utility operations shall remain final and binding.
